Never danced before - no problem, the band's
caller will encourage and help you find your feet. A trained dance

Not
everyone can - not everyone wants to. Capital Ceilidh will play
even if people just want to listen. When out of 'dance mode'
the real talent in the band steps forward and audiences are entertained
to a wide selection of traditional songs and airs interspersed with rollicking
reels and jigs.

Latest news
 Capital
Ceilidh were
joined by the renowned Edinburgh percussionist Dr Neil Scott for
their gig in The Hub on June 22nd. Dr Scott is
well known on the Edinburgh folk scene where his contribution to the success
of the band 'Harvest' is legendary.
 His
latest fusion with singer guitarist Janice McGrath as 'Hoolet' has yielded
some nice material on their latest CD 'A Toe in the Water'
Recorded live at the Queen's Hall
in Edinburgh, Capital Ceilidh's new album featuring songs from Ros
Mitchell, is due for release at the end
of this month.
